Development should not turn a strong design into a stack of fragile plugins. I favour lean server-rendered WordPress, reusable components and deliberate data structures so the site remains editable without becoming a page-builder dependency.

Yes. Editable areas are deliberately modelled in WordPress so normal content changes do not require editing theme code.
